Kasturi was born in Kolkata and grew up in the serene country side of Giridih. She loved nature from when she was little. With fine appreciation of decor and arts she learnt to play sitar and traditional Indian dance. Good food, beats, greenery and cocktails are her favorites.

Born into a modern yet traditional valued Bengali family Kasturi had the privilege of growing up with unmatched care and love. Her father being an energetic and always active personality had a great influence in building her character.
A loving mother who taught her values and to be patient. A very talented and beautiful woman with love for Rabindra sangeet. Like mother, Kasturi loves cooking and good food.
And ever so bubbly little sister Mamtu is the most dear friend Kasturi has always had by her. She is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of her love. Life without Mamtu aka 'Bhutti' is unimaginable for her.
